School Age Enrichment Program

The School Age Club (SAC) is for children between 5 and 12 years old who attend another school during the day.

CCLC’s after school program is located on our ten-acre property with access to our fields, wooded trails, and a creative building area. A classroom (a yurt) is now dedicated to this group and is specially used during inclement weather. We offer a healthy snack, supervised free-play time, teacher-led small group activities, and homework time.

The after-school students have access to our Children in Nature program which offers exploratory walks on the trails, gardening, outdoor skills, and more.

Quick facts about our program:

  • The School Age Club is offered for children from kindergarten through age 12. (Rappahannock County Elementary School (RCES) preschool students can enroll in before and after preschool care.)

  • RCPS buses transport students directly to CCLC before and after school.

  • Children enrolled in SAC can attend on scheduled teacher workdays, holidays and early dismissals from RCPS.

  • Children enrolled in SAC can attend on snow days and other unscheduled days off for an additional daily fee. (When space and staffing allow)

  • Before school “Breakfast Club” care is also available. RCPS buses transport Breakfast Club children to the elementary school.

  • Tuition assistance may be available. All requests must begin with an application for the Virginia Child Care Assistance Program. Virginia CommonHelp
