Summer Camp

Kindergarten – Age 12

Children and adults playing in a shallow creek in a lush, green forest during daytime.

CCLC’s Summer Camp is a ten-week immersive experience designed to connect children to their community, the outdoors, and one another.

Located on our 10-acre campus, campers spend their days exploring wooded trails, open fields, gardens, and creative outdoor spaces — while also venturing beyond campus for field trips that introduce them to the richness of Rappahannock County and the surrounding region.

Exploration Beyond the Classroom

Summer Camp blends structure with adventure. Campers participate in:

  • Weekly field trips and local excursions

  • Outdoor exploration and environmental learning

  • Creative arts and hands-on projects

  • Team challenges and cooperative games

  • Age-appropriate enrichment activities

Whether hiking local trails, visiting community sites, or working on collaborative projects, campers experience the county in meaningful and memorable ways.

A Connected Community

CCLC’s Summer Camp prioritizes safety, engagement, and strong relationships. Campers build independence, strengthen friendships, and develop confidence through shared experiences and guided exploration.

Enrollment priority is given to currently enrolled CCLC families. Space is limited.

Flexible enrollment

Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Families may enroll for individual camp weeks or for the full ten-week session.

“They’re always finding ways for the kids to connect with the natural world—sparking so much joy and curiosity.”
