The Tots program at The Child Care & Learning Center supports children as they move from infancy toward early independence. Designed for confident walkers, this classroom bridges the transition from infant care to the Twos program.

This is a period of remarkable growth—socially, emotionally, physically, and especially in language.

Growing Independence

Children begin building social and communication skills within a warm, structured environment.

Teachers guide children in:

  • Forming positive peer relationships and taking turns

  • Following simple routines and beginning self-help skills

  • Developing language through conversation, songs, and stories

  • Expressing themselves verbally and nonverbally

Building confidence through structure, routine, and exploration.

“The staff don’t just care for the children—they truly see them, listen to them, and delight in who they are.”
